Even with the temporary closure of some of our programs (voluntary surgery) and limited interactions with the public in order to keep everyone safe\, we still took in and cared for well over 5\,000 animals\n Last year\, our Humane Law Enforcement officers took and investigated over 240 calls for animal cruelty\n In addition to all of the dogs\, cats and smaller pets that we care for\, the MCSPCA also took in and cared for/rehabilitated over 1\,100 wildlife- from bats to deer to doves to baby racoons!\n We took in and care for 1\,680 kittens during the 2020 "kitten season\," (warm months when outdoor 'community' and feral cats have litters X-ALT-DESC;FMTTYPE=text/html:
