CVS Health Plans to Close Hundreds of Drugstores
CVS announced today that it will close 900 drugstores – nearly a tenth of its stores – over the next three years as it adjusts to changing customer needs and converts to new store formats. The company also sells insurance and runs prescription drug plans for big clients. A statement from the company didn’t say where the store closures would take place. (The Associated Press)

Pfizer and the U.S. Ink a $5.29 Billion Deal for Possible COVID-19 Treatment
The U.S. government will pay drugmaker Pfizer $5.29 billion for 10 million treatment courses of its potential COVID-19 treatment if regulators authorize it, the nation’s largest purchase agreement yet for a coronavirus therapy. The price for Pfizer’s potential treatment amounts to about $529 per course. The U.S. has already agreed to pay roughly $700 per course of Merck’s drug for about 3.1 million treatments. The N.J. Chamber's Walk to Washington Next Year is Cancelled — to be Recast as 'ReNew Jersey Business Summit' in Atlantic City
The New Jersey Chamber of Commerce announced that its Walk to Washington networking train trip will be recast as the ReNew Jersey Business Summit, to be held April 13-14 at Borgata in Atlantic City, due to lingering concerns about COVID-19. The announcement marks the second consecutive year that the Walk to Washington, the state’s largest business networking event, has been canceled due to the pandemic. Chamber officials said they intend to resume the annual train trip in 2023. (ROI-NJ)
