The NJBAC’s Office of Planning Advocacy has launched a new website showcasing the Preliminary Draft of the New Jersey State Development and Redevelopment Plan. This interactive platform enables the public to explore the State Plan Policy Map, navigate its 10 Goals, and understand the finalization process in a clear, user-friendly format.

Updated Reporting Requirements for Business Owners

Beneficial ownership information (BOI) reporting requirements are back in effect, with a new deadline of March 21, 2025, for most companies. Under the Corporate Transparency Act (CTA), the Treasury Department will “assess its options to further modify deadlines while prioritizing reporting for those entities that pose the most significant national security risks.”

Pay Transparency Law Will Go into Effect June 1, 2025
The new law requires employers with at least 10 employees to disclose the hourly wage or salary range for the advertised position. It also mandates a general description of all benefits and other compensation programs the applicant would be eligible for within the first 12 months of their employment.

Cannabis Corner: Rules and Regulations

The New Jersey Cannabis Regulatory Commission (NJ-CRC) is organizing several virtual Medicinal Cannabis Program Town Hall meetings. With the recent legalization of personal-use cannabis in the state, the NJ-CRC is seeking feedback from patients and healthcare providers as it reviews the medicinal cannabis regulations to enhance patient benefits. The first virtual town hall will be held Wednesday, March 19, 2025, at 6 p.m.
