Important Deadlines: Health Coverage and Rental Assistance Opportunities

Dear Friend:

Two important programs are here to help New Jersey residents start the new year strong! Make sure you take action before the deadlines.


Get Covered New Jersey – Health Coverage Deadline

To have health insurance starting January 1, 2025, you must enroll by December 31, 2024.

Get Covered New Jersey is the only place to find financial help to lower the cost of health plans. Nine out of 10 residents qualify for assistance, and many can find plans as low as $10 per month.

All plans include comprehensive coverage, and new for 2025, out-of-pocket costs for insulin, EpiPens, and asthma inhalers are capped at $35, $25, and $50 per month, respectively.

Act now to secure your coverage:

  • Visit GetCovered.NJ.gov to compare plans and enroll.
  • Free, unbiased enrollment help is available in-person or by phone.

Key Deadlines:

  • Enroll by December 31 for coverage starting January 1, 2025.
  • Open Enrollment ends January 31, 2025 (coverage starts February 1 if enrolled after Dec. 31).

State Rental Assistance Program (SRAP) – Waitlist Opening Soon

The State Rental Assistance Program (SRAP) waitlist opens Monday, January 13, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. and closes Friday, January 31, 2025, at 5:00 p.m.

This program offers essential rental assistance to eligible New Jersey residents. Pre-applications will be selected through a lottery process, so apply anytime during the enrollment period.
