NJEDA and Princeton University Take Next Steps to Develop AI Hub

The New Jersey Economic Development Authority and Princeton University are issuing a Request for Information to seek input on best practices and operational insights for creating an Artificial Intelligence Hub, designed to advance N.J.’s leadership in the field and catalyze innovation in AI technologies. Responses are due by April 26. Gov. Murphy and Princeton University President Christopher Eisgruber previously announced plans to create an AI innovation hub to bring together industry leaders, researchers, and start-up companies to advance R&D in the emerging field. Will China Flood the Globe With Electric Vehicles, Green Tech? What’s Behind the Latest US-China Trade Fight?

China’s burgeoning production of electric cars and other green technologies has become a flashpoint in a new U.S.-China trade fight, highlighted by Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen during her five-day visit to China. China has ramped up its production of cheap electric vehicles, solar panels, and batteries just as the Biden administration has pushed through legislation supporting those same industries in the U.S. Concerns are growing in the U.S., Europe and Mexico that China will seek to bolster its struggling economy with a wave of exports that could undercut factories overseas. JPMorgan’s Jamie Dimon Warns That Inflation, Political Polarization and Wars Are Creating Risks Not Seen Since WWII

The nation’s most influential banker, JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon, told investors Monday that he continues to expect the U.S. economy to be resilient and grow this year. But he worries geopolitical events including the war in Ukraine and the Israel-Hamas war, as well as U.S. political polarization, might be creating an environment that “may very well be creating risks that could eclipse anything since World War II.” The comments came in an annual shareholder letter from Dimon, who often uses the letter to weigh in on broad topics like politics, regulation and global events and what it might mean to JPMorgan Chase, as well as the broader economy.
