BAH Business After Hours

The Business After Hours Committee meets the first Wednesday of each month in order to plan and coordinate “After Hours” networking events. Business After Hours events are typically held monthly at various EMACC member locations. The BAH Committee also plans several signature events throughout the year such as the Beach Bash, annual holiday party and gift drive, and other events to benefit non-profit organizations in our service area. As part of the BAH committee attendance at these events is required.

BNB - Business Networking Breakfast

The Business Networking Breakfast Committee meets typically the first Wednesday of each month to identify topics of interest and secure speakers and sponsors for our 10 Business Networking Breakfast events. Business Networking Events are held the second Wednesday of every month except for July, August, and December. Speakers and topics are chosen based on the interest, needs, and requests of our members. Attendance at Breakfast events is requested as a member of the committee.

eng - EMACC's Next Generation

The eng! EMACC’s Next Generation is a committee of young professional leaders in the business community. The purpose of the committee is to network with other young professionals in the area, including those young at heart, with a purpose of serving the community. Their after-hours networking events will always strive to benefit a non-profit or community service EMACC member.

Health & Wellness Committee

The EMACC Health & Wellness Committee has been formed to help promote EMACC members that are either actively engaged in the business of health and wellness or provide services to such businesses.

Marketing

The Marketing Committee meets quarterly to plan ways to market the chamber as well as to review results of previous marketing campaigns. The Marketing committee seeks to develop innovative marketing campaigns to secure new members and retain current members. The committee works to identify and implement creative ways to reach new and changing business markets, professions and ways of doing business to include Membership Month planning and implementing, Shop Small Biz promotions and EMACC member outreach.

Membership

The Membership Committee works in conjunction with all EMACC committees and programs to ensure that membership is the primary mission of all our programs. The Committee works with the Board of Directors to develop programs and incentives to drive membership into the programs. Members of the Committee strive to meet with every prospective first-time attendee of any event the Chamber hosts. Coordinates with the Executive Director to conduct exit interviews for all non-renewing members and report results to the Board of Directors and other Committees to improve programs. The Membership Committee works directly with the Marketing/Communication Committee to develop a membership component to all our outreach programs and networking events.

MMC - Marketing/Membership/Communications

The Marketing/Membership/Communications Committee meets on the second and fourth Thursday of each month in order to plan ways to market the chamber as well as to review results of previous marketing campaigns. The Marketing/Membership committee seeks to develop innovative marketing campaigns to secure new members and retain current members. The committee works to identify and implement creative ways to reach new and changing business markets, professions and ways of doing business.

Nominating

The Nominating Committee meets in the fall in preparation for the annual meeting in January, however, can be called to meet as needed. The Nominating Committee is responsible for nominating future EMACC Board Members as positions open.

Signature Annual Awards: Spinnaker

The Spinnaker Committee meets monthly beginning in August up through the time of the Spinnaker Awards in January. The Spinnaker Committee work with the Nominating Committee to decide nominees and winners in nine different categories. Spinnaker Award Categories are as follows: Arts and Culture Award; Community Service Award; Corporate Good Neighbor; 50 or More Years Serving Monmouth County; Non-Profit Organization of the Year; Public Service Award; Volunteer of the Year; and the newest category, EMACC’s Next Generation Leader. The Spinnaker Committee helps in the planning, design, and execution of the awards ceremony, which is held the last Wednesday of January. The co-chairs of the committee will help emcee the event and give out the awards. Spinnaker is Eastern Monmouth Area Chamber of Commerce’s largest yearly event and is attended by hundreds of local business owners and Monmouth County public officials and dignitaries.

Signature Annual Golf Outing: Nine Holes, Three Clubs, Whacky Puters

The Signature Annual Golf Outing (previously named Nine & Dine) meets monthly beginning in June through the time of the event. The Committee meets with the sole purpose of planning, designing, and executing the 9 hole, 3 club, whacky putter scramble golf outing in September. The Committee works on securing sponsors and attendees to ensure the success of the event.

Signature Annual Summer Soiree

The Summer Soiree committee meets the Summer Signature event. The event was previously known as Beach Bash/Christmas in July. The committee works to secure a venue and sponsorships to the event.

Women in Business Committee

Women In Business Committee promotes the empowerment of women by putting their businesses first! Giving women the opportunity to network with each other in an environment that supports this goal creates relationships and ultimately helps to achieve success. Meetings are held monthly. Events are held quarterly.
